Approval Authority: SA Planning Portal (PlanSA)
South Australia uses the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. Most residential builds require Development Approval through PlanSA. Our kit includes full architectural drawings, engineered drawings, and NatHERS certification – everything needed for your development application.
Bushfire Ratings (BAL)
SA has mapped bushfire-prone areas under the Bushfire Management Area provisions. Properties in these zones need a BAL assessment. We design to BAL 12.5 through BAL 40, with BAL FZ available. The Adelaide Hills, Mount Lofty Ranges, and South-East are common bushfire zones.
Owner-Builders in SA
South Australia allows owner-builders to build their own home. You will need to apply for a Building Rules Consent through your council or a private certifier. Our Base Kit and Kit Supply packages are ideal for SA owner-builders.
