Start with the land
Before choosing a design, check the block. These are the things that change the cost and the plan most on acreage:
- Access. Can a delivery truck get in and turn around in wet weather?

- Water, power and waste. Tank water, solar or a grid connection, and a septic system are often part of an acreage build.
- Bushfire and flood. Your bushfire rating and flood overlays shape the materials and where the home can sit.

Is it a real home?
