A Class 1A shed home is a legal residential dwelling under the National Construction Code (NCC). It’s designed and documented to be approved, insured, and lived in as a normal home.
A Class 10A building is a non-habitable structure (like a shed, garage or carport). In most cases, you can’t legally use it as a permanent residence.
Class 1A is a home. Class 10A is a shed/outbuilding. The difference isn’t marketing — it’s how it’s approved, certified, and insured.
